Anti Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day!
A fantastic week of fun and learning about respect to combat bullying!
"Anti-bullying week is a week where we learn about bullying and how to prevent it. It includes Odd Socks Day too. We made paper odd socks and traded them with each other, then made posters and friendship bracelets. It is a fun time when we share our experiences and help people in need. The theme this year is RESPECT. Respect means to be kind and aware of others. It is a time when we all come together without conflict and acknowledge children who have been hurt both physically and mentally by others. We learn to look through that and forget our mistakes for a happy, healthy community."

Throughout the week the children across the school took part in a variety of activities around the theme of Respect to promote the anti-bullying message. Everyone had a great time on Tuesday too in their odd socks and even Putteridge's pets got in on the action with over 60 sending us photos of them looking proud (and perhaps a little confused) in their colourful footwear. We had a huge range of furry and scaly friends - including a snake!
Please take a look at our Anti-Bullying Week gallery for photos of what we got up to as well as a cute array of animals.
